This website introduces MH-Tuotesuunnittelu Ky and our expertise. There is no contact form or newsletter sign-up. You can reach us by email or phone.

The website is hosted on OpenAI’s ChatGPT Sites service. The service automatically collects visitor and page-view statistics, which we use to evaluate and improve the website. We have not added Google Analytics or advertising tracking tools.

Our website code does not set cookies. The hosting platform may, however, need cookies or other identifiers to operate and support sign-in. You can read more in OpenAI’s Sites documentation.

The product news links lead to third-party websites, which have their own privacy policies.

Purposes and legal bases for processing

We use personal data to reply to enquiries, prepare quotes, carry out agreed work and stay in touch with customers.

We process the personal data of business customers’ contact persons on the basis of our legitimate interest in managing business communications and customer relationships. Where an individual is a party to a contract, the legal basis is performance of that contract or steps taken at their request before entering into it. We process data required for legal obligations, such as accounting, on the basis of those obligations.

We do not use the data for newsletters or sell or disclose it for other companies’ marketing.

Personal data we process

We process data about individuals who contact us and contact persons at customer companies. This may include:

• name, company and role within the company
• email address, telephone number and other contact details needed to handle the matter
• personal data in messages and attachments
• personal data relating to quotations, contracts and project management.

We only process the data needed to handle your enquiry or assignment. You do not have to provide your contact details, but without them we may be unable to reply or carry out the work.

Where do we obtain the data?

We obtain the data from you or the company you represent, for example by email, telephone, through contracts or at customer meetings. Our website has no contact form.

Service providers and where data is processed

Our email provider processes messages so they can be received, stored and sent. Our emails are stored in a data centre in the EU.

Technical support and maintenance of the email service may involve limited access to personal data from outside the EU/EEA, for example from India. According to the provider’s published explanation, such access is based on agreements incorporating standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission, together with supplementary safeguards. These include access restrictions, access logging and encryption of data in transit.

Data retention and security

We keep personal data while we handle your enquiry and any related discussions. If we do not go on to work together, we delete the data once the matter is closed, unless there is another justified reason to keep it.

We retain customer and project data during our cooperation and afterwards to the extent needed to fulfil agreed responsibilities, handle potential legal claims or meet statutory obligations. Once these grounds no longer apply, the personal data is deleted.

Only people who need personal data for their work are allowed to process it. Access to our systems is restricted through individual usernames and passwords. We protect the data with access controls and technical security measures.

We regularly check whether we still need to keep personal data. We delete data we no longer need and correct any errors we find.

Your rights regarding personal data

You may request access to your personal data and correction of inaccurate data. Subject to the conditions set out in law, you may also request erasure, restriction of processing or data portability.

You may object to processing based on legitimate interests on grounds relating to your particular situation. If processing is based on your consent, you may withdraw it without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal.

You may lodge a complaint with the Office of the Data Protection Ombudsman or another competent data protection authority.
